Buildvox

Privacy

Buildvox follows the Nimvox privacy policy, which covers what we collect, who processes it, and the rights you have over it. This page adds the part specific to this product, and the control that only works here.

Analytics

We measure how our own pages are used, so we can tell which parts of Buildvox people reach and which they never find. Two things do that, and neither is used to advertise to you or to follow you to other websites.

  • Buildvox’s own page counting. When you open a page we record that it was opened, which page it was, and the address of the page that sent you. The page is recorded as its route rather than the particular thing you opened — /dashboard/projects/[id], never which project — and the address that sent you is reduced to the site’s name alone. To count one visit rather than many, your browser keeps a random session number for as long as the tab is open; closing the tab discards it. This counting carries no account, whether or not you are signed in. These records are deleted after 90 days.
  • Cloudflare. Our hosting provider counts page views and measures loading speed on every page it serves for us. It sets no cookies and builds no profile across websites. It does see the network address the request came from, as any provider serving a page must.

Separately from the measurement above, we keep a record that an account signed up, verified its email, signed in, started a checkout, and reached its dashboard for the first time. Those are records of things that happened in your account rather than measurement of an audience, so they are kept for as long as the account is, and they are covered by the Nimvox privacy policy like the rest of your account data.

We keep no cookies for any of this, which is why Buildvox no longer asks you a cookie question. You can switch off Buildvox’s page counting whenever you like, and we honour your browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings without being asked.

This switch applies to buildvox.dev on this device and this browser. It is stored on your device, so it does not travel to your other devices — and a switch on another Nimvox product’s site cannot reach this one, which is why the control is here rather than only on nimvox.dev.

Buildvox used to show a banner asking you to accept analytics cookies. It set none, and the measurement it offered to switch off was not the measurement that ran, so it has been removed. If you declined it, that choice was kept: this switch is already off for you.

Everything else

Account data, billing, the projects and services you create, how long we keep them, who processes them, and how to ask for a copy or a deletion are all in the Nimvox privacy policy. Questions about any of it go to [email protected].
